CENSUDI strengthens communities by unlocking excellence in women and girls. Together, we enabled 40 communities and 4,228,116 people in northern Ghana to address barriers that prevent women and girls from contributing their best to the development of their communities.
Increase in the number of women elected to Ghana’s Parliament, using enhanced campaign skills we gave them.
25% of these female elected parliamentarians were appointed as Cabinet Ministers through improved lobbying and enhanced leadership preparedness of female elected parliamentarians
Increase in the number of women elected to District Assemblies (Local Councils) in the Upper East Region by means of campaigning skills and confidence garnered from CENSUDI workshops/training programs.
All District Assemblies in the Upper East Region establish Women in Development Committees because of the increased number of women and from further sensitisation by CENSUDI.
People in 25 rural communities are healthier and stronger through improved access to quality health information and care for their women and children.
The population of the entire Upper East Region (4,228,116)
benefit as well through CENSUDI’s radio and music programs.
Young adults in the Upper East Region (75% female and 25% male) were provided with school fees and supplies, peer support, access to health and social services, helping them to stay in school and successfully complete their education

Additionally, customary land administration institutions in all these communities, supportive of this trend, then carry out the necessary sacrifices and pacifications, thereby cementing these positive actions as the new traditions.
People in Northern Ghana reached through our campaigns, amplifying the voices of women and girls as well as building vital support for their welfare.
Growth in income for female artisans participating in our fair trade program thanks to business training, microfinance support and access to international markets
Of CENSUDI’s rural partner communities unite in a coalition to eliminate traditional policies and practices that discriminate against women and girls.
